150gr cold butter
1 egg yolk
2 pinches of salt
a bowl of water
some seeds of your choice to cover the breadsticks
We blend the flour, 1tbs of sugar, salt and the (diced) butter in a blender until it looks like crumble. Then, we add the egg yolk and the cognac and continue blending until we are left with a soft dough. Now we get our hands dirty. We work the dough and form it into -equal sized- sticks. Ours were short so they were about 40 in number. We quickly dip them into a bowl of water mixed with the remaining 2tbs of sugar and roll them in a tray with all our seeds so that they stick to them. Finally we place them on baking pans (you may need 2) and cook in a preheated oven at 160 C degrees for about 35 minutes.
