Okay, let's be real. You can't really call dying eggs cooking but that's what today's CorallCooks is about. This year we decided to deviate from the traditional red dye and try out something more colorful. I think they turned out pretty good and everyone keeps trying to steal one. So this post goes out to my friends: please stop taking our eggs and make your own. Please.
We used yellow, red and blue food coloring and mixed them to get orange, purple and green as well.
Hard boil the eggs and let them cool off. Use white ones to get a better color payoff. Then gather several bowls - one for each color. Fill them up with cold water and add two tablespoons of white vinegar and a few drops of the food coloring depending on how strong you want the color to be. Submerge an egg at a time and keep checking it until you're satisfied with the color. Pat it dry with a paper towel and that's it.
Don't they look cool? If you dye your eggs this way tag me on Instagram or Twitter so I can see!
