CND Contradictions Collection

Well, it's been almost a month since I last logged on. Life got the better of me. I'm here today with the new Contradictions Collection that CND put together for this fall and winter. I've been testing the colors on my nails for the past month and I have to say: I'm impressed. I own two of the shades - I am a fan of both - and the top coat that came in the box.

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Scrub

Wow. That was a big title to type. With the arrival of 2015 - and all the resolutions that came with it, I decided to take better care of my body and skin. And that meant starting a ritual easy enough that I could keep up with, but thorough enough that it would actually work. So I got started with the basics: body scrub and body butter. They make a killer combination if you ask me. Today I'll be talking about The Body Shop's Fuji Green Tea Body Scrub.

My Summer Essentials

If we put aside politics for a bit, it's still summer. Some people's favorite season (not mine). I'm assuming you're taking a break from watching the news to read about my summer essentials, so thank you. You won't find any makeup products in this one just because I tend to keep things simple and minimal during the hot months. What you will find is some jewelry pieces and accessories - we have to spice up that basic white top after all.

They have monopolized every beauty talk lately. At least in my country. Why? Because we can finally buy them in stores! *happy dance* I'm of course referring to the Batiste dry shampoo. After all the positive reviews I had read (literally not a single negative one), I was dying to try it out for myself. And now I can certainly vouch for it: the best dry shampoo out there.

We are finally in that very fortunate and long awaited state where the weather is getting warmer, we don't have to rush in the shower and we can spare a few minutes before putting on clothes. This is the time when I begin to take better care of my body and skin. Scrubs, body lotions and body butters come forward and I can already hear my skin thanking me.

Nail Polish Haul

As you can probably tell, lately I've been gravitating more and more towards soft and neutral colors. And my nails would not be the exception. They are actually following the same principle: ideally complete any look without drawing all the attention to themselves. The shades I picked up are the staples white and (blue) black and a pastel pink for that "clean look".

Currently Loving

Winter usually gets me stuck in a rut when it comes to makeup. This year I decided I was not going to get comfortable using the same stuff over and over again. So I pulled some things out of my collection to spice up my daily makeup routine. I am still keeping it simple and minimal as I always did so there you go, not a very big change at all. But it works for me :)

Today we'll be talking skincare. It's been a while. I've sworn by my Castalia moisturizer for the past 5 years (still think it's great, you can read my review of it here) but it was time for me and my skin to try out something new. The verdict: we loved the change.

I haven't done a nail post in ages so I grabbed this opportunity to show you my favorite grey - nude polish by The Body Shop. I caught myself wearing it 3 times in a row. That's gotta be a sign, right? Right!

The Body Shop Haul!

Δεν πιστεύω να μην πήρατε είδηση το 10ήμερο προσφορών που ξεκίνησε πέρσι και όπως φαίνεται ήρθε για να μείνει? Επειδή λοιπόν χρειαζόμουν ένα-δυο πραγματάκια επισκέφτηκα το The Body Shop και όπως θα καταλάβατε μόνο με άδεια χέρια δεν έφυγα!

Get Ready With Me: Graduation!

Αν με ακολουθείτε στο Instagram θα είδατε ότι πήρα πτυχίο! *happy dance* Ορκίστηκα την ημέρα του Halloween και όπως ήταν φυσικό αναλώθηκα στα καθιερωμένα αστεία μου. Πάντως όλοι το καταλάβατε και ευχαριστώ τον καθένα ξεχωριστά για τις ευχές! 
Σκέφτηκα ότι θα ήταν καλή ιδέα να σας δείξω τι χρησιμοποίησα σε ένα GRWM post και έτσι συγκέντρωσα εδώ όλα τα αγαπημένα μου!

Nails: Essie Hide & Go Chic!

Πριν σας πάω στο Nail Of The Day, να σας πω πρώτον ότι πρόκειται για το πρώτο βερνίκι από Essie που δοκιμάζω (να 'ναι καλά τα περιοδικά που μας δίνουν την ευκαιρία να δοκιμάζουμε και πιο δυσεύρετα brands) ΚΑΙ δεύτερον ότι άλλαξα το σχήμα των νυχιών μου. Ναι, εγώ η ορκισμένη λάτρης των τετράγωνων νυχιών. Γι' αυτό φταίει η badass διάθεσή μου τον τελευταίο καιρό και το Instagram. Θέλω αυτά τα μεγάλα στρογγυλά μαύρα νύχια and I'm getting there. At least I think I am. 

Radiant Blush Color in Apple Brown!

Είναι κάτι σαν άγραφος νόμος (τον οποίο για κάποιο λόγο ξέρουμε και ακολουθούμε ασυνείδητα όλες) να σκουραίνει το μακιγιάζ με το που κάνει την εμφάνισή του το πολυαγαπημένο φθινόπωρο. Μην μου πείτε πως δεν έχετε τέτοιες dark διαθέσεις! Προσωπικά άφησα στην άκρη τα ροζ και ροδακινί ρουζ και εδώ και ένα μήνα χρησιμοποιώ σχεδόν αποκλειστικά αυτό της Radiant σε απόχρωση σάπιου μήλου - Radiant Blush Color No 102 Apple Brown. 

My Eyebrow Routine!

Εδώ και ένα - δυο χρόνια τα φρύδια έχουν την τιμητική τους στον κόσμο της ομορφιάς. Πλαισιώνουν τα μάτια και όλο το πρόσωπο και όταν είναι περιποιημένα δίνουν άλλη διάσταση στο μακιγιάζ. Δεν είχα καταλάβει πόσο μεγάλη διαφορά κάνουν, μέχρι που άρχισα να τα φροντίζω συστηματικά. Είναι το πρώτο πράγμα που κάνω makeupwise όταν βιάζομαι ή δεν θέλω να βαφτώ κανονικά (κάτι που συμβαίνει πιο συχνά από ότι θα ήθελα να παραδεχτώ).

Λίγο οι φωτογραφίες που χαζεύω στο internet, λίγο μια καινούρια σειρά που άρχισα πρόσφατα (The 100 λέγεται, πείτε μου αν την έχετε δει, να συζητήσουμε λίγο στα σχόλια ως tv show nerds - δικός μου όρος don't mind me), με έκαναν να δω το galactic print με άλλο μάτι και να θαυμάσω τις χρωματικές αποχρώσεις των γαλαξιών όπως ποτέ άλλοτε. Αποπειράθηκα λοιπόν, για να μην τα πολυλογώ, να αποτυπώσω την ομορφιά αυτή στα νύχια μου και να το αποτέλεσμα:

Δεν γράφω συχνά για προϊόντα μακιγιάζ κι αυτό γιατί όταν βρω εκείνα που μου ταιριάζουν δεν τα αλλάζω εύκολα. Ωστόσο που και που ανανεώνω το make up μου και δοκιμάζω νέα πράγματα. Σε ποια δεν αρέσει αυτό άλλωστε? Τα stains και τα matt lip creams έχουν γίνει οι καλύτεροι φίλοι μου αυτό το καλοκαίρι καθώς δεν χρειάζονται ιδιαίτερη επίβλεψη. Τα φοράς και ξενοιάζεις.
